For this drawing, I decided to focus on a tree stump with a bench-like structure and natural details. I used pencil to create the sketch and tried to pay close attention to the shapes, proportions, and perspective of the reference. I added details such as the tree rings on the top, the texture of the bark, and the different lines throughout the stump. I think one of the strongest parts of my drawing is the texture because I tried to make the bark look more natural and realistic.
While working on the drawing, I found perspective and proportions to be the most challenging. It was sometimes difficult to make certain areas look the correct size and angle compared to the reference. I had to make adjustments and erase some parts before I was satisfied with them. This drawing helped me realize how important observation and patience are when creating artwork. If I were to do this drawing again, I would focus more on shading and contrast to give the drawing more depth and make the different parts stand out. Overall, I am proud of my progress and feel that this drawing helped me improve my attention to detail and drawing skills.
